Anthony Garland is a writer/director/editor whose multi-disciplinary creative background informs his distinctly cinematic style. Born in Switzerland to Iraqi-Australian parents and raised by 90s cinema and the British boarding school system, Garland approaches his work with humor and heart.
As a writer, Anthony has been a Nicholl Fellowship semi-finalist and is currently adapting Alan Rabinowitz’s memoir JAGUAR for Janet Zucker and Silent Films. His short form directing work has played official selection at Academy-Qualifying festivals including Cleveland International, HollyShorts and LA Shorts Fest. Additionally, Anthony’s work as an editor creating Ripomatics has supported development at major studios including Universal and Amazon.
He lives in Los Angeles with his creative partner and spouse Ali Garland and their new dog who, while cute, remains a work in progress.
